Philip began his career in the construction industry at the young age of 14, assisting his electrician father during school holidays. This early exposure ignited a passion for construction that would lead to a long and successful career.

After 13 years of contracting, Philip sought new challenges and pursued higher education, obtaining a Foundation Degree in Construction Management. He then went on to complete a degree in Building Surveying. During his studies, Philip gained practical experience through a summer placement at EC Harris as a Clerk of Works.

Upon graduation, Philip joined Arcadis (formerly EC Harris) full-time as a Building Surveyor. His work included managing emergency FRA works on the Chalcot Estate following the Grenfell fire, a highly publicised project that required him to manage a team and contractors to complete the works within two weeks so that residents could return to their homes. Philip's leadership and problem-solving skills were instrumental in the successful completion of this high-pressure project.

As a Building Surveyor, Philip often acted as a Contract Administrator, which inspired him to transition into Project Management. He joined Avison Young (formerly GVA Second London Wall), a firm renowned for its high-profile developments across London. At Avison Young, Philip honed his skills as a Lead Project Manager, working on a range of projects from high-end residential and fit-out to commercial and build-to-rent developments, with values ranging from £10m to £80m.

Philip later joined Cumming Management Group, where he continued to lead Project Management on larger schemes, ranging from £60m to £600m. In 2023, he left to pursue his ambitions to manage his own consultancy.

Recognising that smaller domestic projects often lack the structure and processes standard in commercial projects, Philip established PSPM Consultancy Services. One of his goals is to bring his experience and expertise to this sector, providing a hands-on approach to Project Management that ensures projects are delivered successfully, on time, and on budget. Philip's primary aim is to alleviate stress for his clients throughout the construction process.
